Berta has more than 20 years of experience as a public speaker and a community advocate.

Winner of numerous awards like MOSAIC and WLKY Bell Award, Berta shines light on topics from personal growth to faith and family relationships using humor and insight.

Berta arrived in Louisville, Kentucky in December of 1996 becoming years later a proud American citizen.

Mother of Juan, Felix and Rachel and grandmother of Asa, Cruz and Luka, Berta find her most rewarding moments on helping and encouraging others.

She has worked for Jefferson County Public Schools for 24 years.

Berta has engaged on activities that goes from prison ministry to community service, alongside her husband Larry.
